A fresh adaptation of Gosho Aoyama’s Yaiba manga, created by the renowned Detective Conan author, is set to make its debut in April 2025. With the premiere date confirmed, fans can now enjoy a newly released teaser along with updates on additional cast members for the upcoming series, Shin Samurai-den YAIBA.
The latest teaser trailer has generated excitement ahead of the anime’s highly anticipated launch. In addition, new voice actors have been announced for the series. Katsuyuki Konishi will voice Yaiba’s father, Kenjuro Kurogane, while Junichi Suwabe will portray the legendary swordsman Musashi Miyamoto.
Directed by Takahiro Hasui, Yaiba is produced by WIT Studio with Touko Machida handling the scripts. Yoshimichi Kameda takes on the roles of character designer and chief animation director for the series.

The story centers around Yaiba Kurogane, a wild samurai boy who trains in the jungle alongside his father, Kenjuro. After a chance return to Japan, Yaiba encounters his rival, Takeshi Onimaru, who shares his fierce samurai spirit. This meeting sparks a rivalry between the two, with Yaiba soon embarking on an epic journey filled with challenges. When Onimaru gains possession of the mythical “Legendary Demon Sword,” the stakes rise, and Yaiba’s adventure becomes one of extraordinary spectacle and danger.
Fans can look forward to Yaiba’s April 2025 premiere, as the anime adaptation brings Aoyama’s action-packed tale to the screen with a stellar cast and top-tier production team behind it.
