In a thrilling development for fans of light novels, the series The Holy Grail of Eris, penned by author Kujira Tokiwa, is set to be adapted into an anime. This announcement comes with the release of a teaser trailer and visual, building excitement for the upcoming project.
The anime will feature a prominent voice cast, including Kana Ichinose voicing the character Constance Grail and Sayumi Suzushiro as Scarlet Castiel. However, details regarding the main production staff and the anticipated release date have not yet been disclosed.
Tokiwa’s The Holy Grail of Eris originated as a web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō platform in October 2017. It transitioned to a light novel format in November 2019, complete with illustrations by Yuunagi. The series is licensed in English by Yen Press, which also oversees a manga adaptation illustrated by Hinase Momoyama, further expanding its reach among English-speaking audiences.
Yen Press offers this synopsis of The Holy Grail of Eris: “Lucia O’Brian is heading to the Republic of Soldita to visit a friend, and Connie, Randolph, and a certain glamorous ghost wind up coming along for the ride. At first, Scarlett doesn’t think much of the idea, but that all changes once she learns their destination— the island of El Sol, where her mother once told her the starry crown of Cornelia Faris lies hidden. But there’s more to this treasure hunt than meets the eye, and plenty of trouble awaits Connie and Scarlett across the sea!”
Stay tuned for further updates as the adaptation progresses.
