Nagai, Okada, and Tanaka are long-time collaborators forming the collective known as Super Peace Busters. According to Encore Films, the film follows the story of Aoi Aioi, a second-year high school student and aspiring musician living in a mountain town. Aoi’s older sister, Akane, once had dreams of moving to Tokyo with her ex-boyfriend, Shinnosuke Kanomura, a struggling guitarist. After their parents passed away in an accident 13 years prior, Akane chose to take care of Aoi, leaving her own dreams behind.
When Aoi receives an invitation to perform as a session musician at a music festival from the famous enka singer, Dankichi, Shinnosuke unexpectedly returns to their town. Complicating matters, Shinno mysteriously appears as Shinnosuke from 13 years ago, having traveled from the past to the present, leading Aoi to experience love for the first time.
