The highly anticipated TV anime adaptation of PALETTE’s visual novel series, 9-nine-, titled 9-nineRuler’s Crown, is set to premiere in 2025. The announcement was made through a newly launched teaser site, which also unveiled a key visual showcasing the series’ four main heroines, accompanied by the enigmatic tagline: “I will repeat as many times as it takes.”
The 9-nineseries, known for its supernatural mystery narrative, is divided into four interconnected chapters, each focusing on a different heroine. As the protagonist, Kakeru Niimi, progresses through these chapters, he unravels the mysterious and supernatural forces at play within his town.

About the Series
The 9-nineseries weaves a compelling supernatural mystery set in Shiromitsugawa, a seemingly ordinary college town struggling with its identity. Despite its best efforts, the town’s tourism initiatives have failed, including a high-budget anime that flopped due to poor writing. However, life in Shiromitsugawa takes a dark turn after a sacred relic at the local shrine is shattered, unleashing chaos and granting superhuman abilities to several young residents, including the protagonist, Kakeru Niimi.
As Kakeru navigates this new reality, he and his companions must confront a superpowered serial killer who threatens to wreak havoc on their town. The series, with all four chapters available on Steam, has garnered a dedicated fanbase, particularly through its English release by Sekai Project.
