In anticipation of its October 2024 release, the upcoming fantasy anime Haigakura has just launched its main trailer, generating excitement among fans. Alongside the trailer, the official website also revealed five additional cast members, expanding the already impressive lineup.
The new cast additions are:
Junko Takeuchi as Young Ichiyo
Akira Sasanuma as Shungei
Tatsumaru Tachibana as Gaishi
Atsushi Tamaru as Gas Mask
Kazutomi Yamamoto as Rabbit Mask
These talented actors join the previously announced leads, Takeo Otsuka and Kaito Ishikawa.
Haigakura is based on the manga by Shinobu Takayama. The anime is directed by Junichi Yamamoto, known for his work on Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion, and is produced by TYPHOON GRAPHICS. The series composition is handled by Yu Murai, with character designs by Masaki Sato, recognized for his work on Record of Ragnarok. The musical score is composed by Yuki Kurihara, who previously worked on Blue Orchestra.
Set in the sacred world of Senkai, Haigakura follows the story of Ichiyou, a warrior-poet, who employs a technique called Kessai to capture scattered gods as Senkai teeters on the brink of collapse. Alongside Ichiyou, Tenkou, his loyal follower, embarks on a quest to find four evil gods who hold the key to restoring balance to the world.
The series continues to build anticipation with its compelling storyline and star-studded cast, making it one of the most awaited anime releases of the year.
